Monumental Moment…

Monday, July 26, 2010

or just another wrinkle? Who knows but this is my 200th post on my blog and we must celebrate! Are you ready to celebrate with me? Well, I am and intend to give someone something as part of the celebration.
First order of business is to clear my good name as a “screw up” with the SITS 31 Days to a Better Blogger challenge. We are on Day 8 and are supposed to Interlink a Post, meaning I link this post to other posts within my blog. I was going to link to my About Me page but that’s too much like my Elevator Pitch. So I am going to make an all new post… We are taking a trip down memory lane on this Post-iversary of mine.

Do you happen to know how many blogs I’ve had in the past? No? Try five… or maybe seven? I would start a blog and I would stop, drop and roll a blog faster than you could scream fire! I was all about creating a blog but not about keeping it. This blog has stood up over the test of time (I still had the password, bonus!) and has continued on longer then even one of my written journals. I love having this blog now and can’t imagine living without it.

Where else would I feel comfortable enough to spill the beans about my secret to a clean house? Or admit my struggles as a parent in a safe place? This blog has become a part of me and I am really enjoying working on it. It’s hard to believe that it all started so long ago as an update for our house. Now it’s become more to me. I can track funny stories from my kids, watch our garden progress through the seasons, do a form of digital scrapbooking for our vacations and so much more!

I fully intend to get my blog printed as a hard copy at the end of this year (and every year after). I can’t wait to see how it looks and read it like a book. It should be a treat!

What do you use your blog for? Let me know in a comment and you will be entered into a drawing where you can choose one of the following items:
  1. Overhaul your Blogger blog comment sections with a reply feature, author comments highlighted and a new Add Comment button!
  2. A fun new twitter (or maybe even blog) background.
  3. Something that doesn’t require me to work fun to spend:
$5 Amazon Gift Code I earned from my Swagbucks.
I wish I could offer something more. I am sure that if you love your blog the way I do though that one of these choices will fit the bill. So prove how much you love your blog!

This Giveaway is OVER.
Thanks to all who entered!

1 (one) Entry each Item:

Happy postiversary!! How exciting, and how convenient that it ties right in with the 31DBBB task today! And how sweet are you to give something to us to celebrate your postiversary!

Congratulations on your anniversary! Milestones are always such a great way to give back to your readers, too.
Since my blog is a beauty and skincare review site, for my blogiversary I had a giveaway of things that I had really liked & hoped they did, too. I know I could find something on Amazon I could pass along, too.
Good luck with the #31DBBB!

Congratulations on your anniversary and good luck with the SITS 31DBBB! I have two blogs – and I love both. I love having Raising Figure Skaters because it’s a way for me to encourage parents of children participating in sports of any kind. Great giveaway - I could always use an Amazon gift code if I won the giveaway.

Hi congratulations! and good luck with the challenge. My blog is "new" again as I restarted it after a different focus - kids. Problem is I didn't backup my old posts when I transferred the blog over to a new host so they were deleted. Oh well start a fresh but my interlink won't be in the archives. L

My blog keeps me sane! It's the only place I can let all those words and thoughts go bubbling over! I work in a little office with 4 walls and no windows all day and when I get home my hubby's eyes start glazing over if I jabber too much. So it all comes out on the blog! :)

I could always use $5 amazon bucks. I don't blog on blogger and I like my Twitter background.

Happy post anniversary!! Wish I could say I love my blog but I don't. I think I about loving it alot. I have a friend who always tells me, "Hey you should post that as a blog!" I just don't. One day my prayers will be answered and I will finally be a blogger and then truly love my blog.

Congrats! And happy to have you on with me at 31DBBB. I've been screwing up as well but blogging about it all the way. So much fun to be able to vent online! Even when I should be cleaning the kitchen...
