Chore Charts (Revisited)

Monday, October 11, 2010

I am "bringing this post back from the dead” because it is time for us to redo our chore charts! It seems I need to update them at least once a year.

We have tried all sorts of chore charts... Store bought, online, calendar, mom/dad dollars, etc. I was sick and tired of looking for a system, getting all excited, purchasing and than finding it won't work for us. And why not? Because I didn't need something complicated! I just needed the kids to be able to SEE what chores they needed to do and a way to keep them accountable to doing them. How hard is that?

Feel free to visit the old post for more information on how I put it together to work for me and the kids. What chore chart or ideas do you use to help keep kids on track?

Thanks for visiting my Zombie Post! Go check out some others at Real Life with Kids.

Yes, I really need to put together a chorer chart, a fun one, a creative one that will be fun to look at. This is very helpful, thanks for bringing it back! xxx

Yay! So glad you linked up to Zombie Post MOnday!

I am totally LOVING your chore chart! I'm heading over to see the original on how you put it together.

I love lists! My family thrives on them...I notice when they start eating more (a growth spurt) they are ready for new chores, for their age of course.

I like yours with picts, though! Smart!

Blessings to you,

Oh, I love it! Chore charts have been pretty short lived in our house... but since *I* am trying to get more into a cleaning routine I need to get the little guy in the same habits! :)
