Starting Seeds Indoors Setup

Wednesday, March 30, 2011

I forgot to add some supplies to my list when I first posted how I was starting seeds indoors. Here’s all of it put together though with my little NOT so little tomatoes and peppers growing!

Never realized how important a fan would be to little plants. It helps with my mold issues and strengthens the little stems. YAY!

A fan! That makes so much sense. We live in an extremely windy place (in the summer) and I would love to make my seedlings stronger before they head out into the big, bad windy world. Thanks for sharing! I just started seeds this past weekend. No little plants just yet.

You're so industrious! I would love to grow some veggies but the house we're in now is all shaded (a nice feature in Los Angeles summers!). What does the fan do?

Love your garden posts :) We are having work done on our beds and can't wait to start planting again. Hopefully without all the weeds this year. Come say hi :)

@Anne
A fan helps to strengthen the plants stem so when you move it outside the wind doesn't bother the plant as much. PLUS it keeps mold away. Mold has always been the killer of my seedling starts. GRR! So glad to have a fan now.

Thanks everyone for stopping by too! I am very excited about this garden season!!
