Easter Tradition

Saturday, April 03, 2010

I need to get the plastic eggs ready for our morning hunt. Anyone do an egg hunt first thing? We don't give baskets just lots 'O eggs filled with breakfast! (Some of the eggs will have some money too.) The kids think that this is great and have already been begging for us to set up their egg hunt. I think it's adorable that they love this tradition we've started. I also love that they don't mind NOT getting a bunch of candy in their eggs. (That's what I actually love the best!!!)

What kind of breakfast do they get? Waffles!!! No syrup added though. Hehe... That would be messy!

So what is an Easter tradition at your house? Or what do you put in your Easter Egg hunt eggs?

Haha waffles in the eggs? Wow you definitely get the creative mom bonus points for that one! :) Happy Easter!

We let "others" (aunts, uncles, grandparents, etc) do gifts for the kids if they want, but we try to keep the Easter message simply at our house, just focusing on the Resurrection.

Waffles in the eggs wow!! Gotta say I have not heard that before but I think it's an awesome idea! I hate all the candy associated with Easter. We do fun things in baskets like puzzles, books, etc and the candy they get from local egg hunts at the church.
