WFMW: Breastfeeding Tracker

Wednesday, March 17, 2010

I am sleep deprived and befuddled... especially in the middle of the night! How am I supposed to keep track of which side I nursed on last or need to start on? All of which is very important when establishing a breastfeeding schedule and milk supply. Well, I finally rounded up enough brain cells to employ a Hair Tie on my wrist! (Big DUH moment for me.) I slip the Hair Tie back and forth when I am feeding baby so that when I start the next time I start on the side with the Hair Tie on the wrist.

How many other children will I have to have to come up with a really AWESOME idea?
Sigh...

How do/would you remember something like this?

I am a terrible mom and even though I had nursing charms and hair bows I never bothered to swap them! Then again, I think Bubbagirl nursed non stop for months so there wasn't much time in between to forget. LOL

Hahaha! You are not a terrible mom! I feel like I don't need it much either except at night sometimes.

I'm not yet breastfeeding (by the way, hello from the #bfcafe chat!) but the hair ties thing is a great idea! That would *so* work for me because I *always* have one on my wrist. I have a breastfeeding bracelet but obviously haven't tried it yet. I'm due in late June, so we'll see how it goes ;) I'll definitely remember the hair tie though!
