Cookies, Nicknames and Stick Shift

Friday, February 25, 2011

Today is Friday. Today is the last day of this week for me. I can hear the angels lifting their voice in song! Ok, well maybe not that but I see the light at the end of the tunnel! I am making a pact with you all here today. A vow. This week is over and I will not repeat it. It is done.

Now I am moving on to something a bit more fun. Like eating poptarts in bed while watching cartoons with the kids. We homeschool for moments like these! Sure, we could do this on weekends, but it means so much more to everyone when we are actually shurking our duties just to snuggle. And ya know what? I might just repeat this morning again sometime though. This is kinda fun! Hehehehe....

Are you joining in to Five Q Friday this week?

Rules for Five Question Friday: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them, then watch for the linky post to appear Friday morning! And most of all, HAVE FUN!!

1. Can you drive a stick shift?
Absolutely not. If you want a good laugh and maybe a wrecked car, you can have me try. I am just not coordinated enough to keep all the pedals straight. Everyone ends up more like a milkshake or slushy when I am done.

2. What are two foods you just can't eat?
Onions and refried beans. I can try and sneak them into things and force myself to eat them but it's not easy and I don't enjoy either of them.

Onions cause me to be physically ill too, so I really avoid them alot. I use tiny bits (powder or freeze dried) as seasonings but if I get ahold of an actual sliced, diced or even minced piece and crunch on it? (shudders)

And refried beans... Well... Have you ever really LOOKED at those? I have just changed too many diapers. (snort) Sorry... Little too visual there? I feel snarky today. :)

3. Do you buy Girl Scout Cookies? What is your favorite kind?
Yes and yes. Oh wait, what kind? Just one? Hmm.. I dunno what they are called anymore. I always start rattling off a description to the poor little girl who happens to sell to me. They always end up turning away from me with eyes glazed over calling, "mom!" The mom's always know what I am talking about. It's like our second language. Chocolate, peanut butter, carmel and mint!

4. How do you pamper yourself?
I write. I craft. I read! I attempt photography and then I get mad at my failure and then I write. I craft. I read!

5. What is your nickname and how did you get it?
My main nickname is a little piece of my name just pulled out to shorten it. Amazing, isn't it? My more fun nicknames always make me feel old. Sigh...

I am Ebi from the days of BBSing. Remember that? BEFORE the internet? Yes, there was something smaller before the internet. My Dad (Pop) had a stake in it too. "You're in..... The redial... " was a popular phrase around our house. :) (Had to be there I guess.)

I am Weim from the beginning of the internet days. I loved virtual pets and had a whole shloo of them. They were all named, well cared for, promoted on a site, message boards, IM's, etc. I was Weim in that era.

So there.. And now if anyone from those time periods hunts me down on the internet, they will likely find me here first before facebook. I never went by my real name with any of them... So few really know me. (*waves* at Cricket!) Hehehe....
