You know the drill… Do unto others as you would have done to yourself… blah blah blah… This little statement needs a fresh facelift to it! It’s so repeated over and over and over again that I needed a new perspective on it for me and thanks for twitter, I found it! Check this out:

What an excellent idea and I so needed to hear this too. Little tidbits of brilliance come from @TracyLiebmann all the time too.

At any rate, I found this statement to hit home for me. It’s so true! I am always telling my dear little ones that they should treat their family as they would their friends. I often find that they treat their friends a LOT better than they do their siblings. I get frustrated with that too. I should be getting more frustrated with myself for not treating them as well as I do the guests that visit our home. So sorry little ones! There needs to be boundaries in the home to help them understand there are consequences in life, but I need to keep the boundaries in perspective.

I also have to be careful about accidents. I have spilled a many a glass of milk in my life. My kids will too. Especially if they are as clumsy as I am. Hehe…
