Side Order of Fries?

Wednesday, September 15, 2010

I know… it’s all supposed to be WORDLESS, but I couldn’t be quiet. So feel free to not read anything and just look at the pictures. Heehehe…

Would you like fry’s with or without the caterpillar?
WormCollageFall is upon us! ‘Tis the time to watch this crazy mom (tell me I am not alone here?) slam on the brakes, jump from the vehicle in a frantic effort to grab a caterpillar (which is usually a woolie worm) from the road, toss it in an old fry box and hand to the excited kids in the back seat.

Fortunately the roads we spy caterpillars on generally have very little traffic so there’s not really much danger. Hehehe… I have been known to stop four lanes of traffic for a baby duck before though…ahem… yes? Oh… we can discuss that another time.

And of course, my Hubbie has to outdo me in the garden with this group of caterpillars:DSC_0566 What on earth is going on in my garden when it’s left unattended?!! I’m not happy with what these little buggers have done to my rhubarb patch.
DSC_0567But they have been added to the caterpillar camp. We did put them all in a larger jar. Dirty rotten little buggers… Grrr…

WormieCraftI prefer these little guys that the kiddos made with me for school. They don’t do any damage to plants in the garden and now the kids have some little fuzzy friends to play with while the real things cocoon up. You can make some too: Easy Caterpillar Craft

It was so lucky you had the fry container available for your small friend. The craft came out so cute.

That craft is so cute!!! I have recently added caterpillers to my "animals I like list." Not the real ones mind you, the cute multicolored fake ones lol.

What a great collection of caterpillars. There is such a variety. Even the fuzzy ones from the garden are cute, though I would be upset with the damage, too.

(I wasn't sure what to expect when I saw the title)

Nice sequence of photos. The last one surprised me.

I am Wordless this Wednesday for the first time. (Trust me, this is quite unusual for me.)

I'm actively seeking new photography blogs to follow. Please let me know if you decide to follow my blog and I will follow you back!

Here's my WW: http://readerbuzz.blogspot.com/2010/09/wordless-wednesday.html
