Meal Plan Repeat

Monday, September 20, 2010

Last week was a WASH! Mostly… We are going to retry many of the meals we had in mind for last week. To tell you the truth though, we didn’t eat out or anything. Just fixed something else that we had on hand. Does that make it okay? Hehe… I am going to try some new things these next few weeks though. Can’t wait!

Monday
Try Again Chili
You’d think that something so simple and from a crock pot wouldn’t be a hassle? Well apparently this was because it never made it in the crock pot, until today at least. And then we (er, Hubbie!) invited people over to enjoy it with us.

Tuesday
Shrimp Fried Rice
Round two of this as well and it may end up a bit more time taking. I bought FRESH broccoli to chop up and intend to use fresh carrots too. I think I will steam them? All this means is that I need to start it at lunch.

Wednesday
Lasagna
Don’t get all excited here. It’s Stouffers. Heeheehee… Very yummie, but not as good as homemade. Wednesday’s are SO busy for us though that we rely on things like this right now. Still getting used to our new Fall schedule.

Thursday
Potato Ham Bake – So simple I could make it in my SLEEP.

1-2 Ham Steaks (depending on amount of people)
4-6 Potatoes, chopped
1 Can Cream of Mushroom
1 Can Milk
Pepper, to taste
Cheese, to taste

Preheat oven to 350. Place first 5 ingredients in a 9x13 pan and top with cheese. Bake for 1 hr.

I think green beans will make a nice side for this one.

Friday
Broiled Eggplant Parmesan

Saturday
Leftovers

Sunday
Breakfast!
Has this become a staple in my week? I just can’t RESIST breakfast for dinner and I think it’s because I don’t usually get a big breakfast for actual breakfast so I want it when I have time to cook? HEHE Ah well… love it!

What will you be having for dinner this week?

On the Potato Ham Bake, do you have to cook the ham steak before you bake it? or just put it in raw with the other ingredients? Sounds delicious and something worth trying!

@Cassie
I just add it to everything else in the batch and it bakes in the oven. :)

It IS yummie!

That looks great! I am taking a class at church called "Sacred Marriage" based on the book. One of the questions was how I could show my love to my spouse this week and I picked meal planning! I am VERY BAD at it, but this week I planned out meals for each night, picked out recipes and went to the grocery! I feel like a champ:)
